Skyline Graduation Ceremony - 2006

The saplings they planted are now flowering bushes.  The nervous students at entry in 2002 and 2003 are responsible executives in Indian and Multi National corporates.

An Institute is because of its students.  To develop and nurture them over their assigned programme term is the foremost responsibility of every Institute and their performance, its ultimate test by fire. To showcase its students’ success and share the moment with their family, the Industry and the Skyline Team, a Graduation Ceremony was held on Tuesday March 14, 2006 at the Laxmipat Singhania Auditorium, PHD House.

It was indeed a joyous ceremony where students were given their degrees after a flashback pictorial presentation on their years at Skyline.  The Graffiti Board filled after the ceremony reflected the enthusiasm with which the proceedings were received by the MBA and BBA class of 2005.  Mr. Ashish Bagga Executive Director, of the India Today Group and Mr. S. V. Vijay, Head Travel Services operations, India were the chief guests representing the Indian and Multinational Corporates.

Skyline Education Group’s mission of providing its students with the best professional career prospects in the emerging global workplace was visibly seen translated in the business cards the graduating class provided on their graduation ceremony just 8 months after actually completing their programmes; the organisations they now represented were Citibank, Marc (International Bath Fittings) Airtel, Accel Frontline, (Enterprise IT solutions), Grassik Consultants Kotak Bank, Price Waterhouse Coopers, HDFC, ICICI besides several other such good organizations.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr.S.V. Vijay spoke about the relevance of a professional management degree in emerging fields such as healthcare and tourism and highlighted the qualities and expectations from the batches passing out.  Mr.Ashish Bagga pointed out the importance of upgrading one’s knowledge on a continuous basis to contribute positively to one’s professional careers and achieve personal satisfaction.

Outstanding students received prizes for academic excellence, organizing and event management skills, and marketing and promotional efforts. The Best Student category for taking part in all the above as well as research and newsletter production, was also awarded.

This yearly event truly remains a memorable event for the graduating class and Institute alike. The present batches worked laboriously on threading the pictures to reflect a story of the induction day, industry events attended, , grueling schedules, student mentor moments, bonding, stress busting parties and the reason why the students would not forget their days at Skyline.
