Career and succession planning is one of the most important Human Resource development system. This study is done keeping in mind twin objectives of understanding the existing career system and the ascertain employees, union and management opinion about it. The study is undertaken in ITI RBL during the period between 02/9/2009 and 27/10/2009.
For collecting information on the subject two methods were adopted.
1.    Study and analysis of secondary data, which constituted personnel manual, general reports, promotion policies, recruitment policies etc.
2.    Collection and analysis of primary data which constituted data generated from discussion with various levels of employees, union and management and responses of questionnaires from various levels of employees. Structured questionnaires were distributed among employees to collect primary data.

 Objective:
My aim of doing the JOB SATISFACTION SURVEY was to have a thorough knowledge of all the factors which make an employee feel satisfied in his job, what motivates him to put all his knowledge, skills and efforts to do the job. Moreover the effect of all the HR activities like Training, Motivational activities, Suggestion schemes, Star Performer, Total Quality Management, Communication Meets etc on the performance of the employees i.e. how the management helps a person to realize his true potential. In the field of HR it is very important to interact with people, to observe them and study them and gain valuable suggestions and experiences. The Job satisfaction survey helped me do that as people gave me some very valuable advices which would help me a lot when I enter the Corporate World.
